Sustainability
How This Stuff Gets Made (A Full Disclosure)
My background is in design, but I also spent years running ethical fashion markets. So, when I started this project, doing things in a way I could feel good about was a non-negotiable.
Here's a rundown of how this shop works, with total transparency.
The Print-on-Demand Deal
To be able to offer a huge range of original designs, fits, and styles without creating a mountain of waste, I use print-on-demand (POD) partners like Printful and Printify. This means when you order a tee, it’s printed just for you. No overproduction, no guessing sizes, and almost zero waste. It's a more sustainable model, and it's the only way a one-person design project like mine can work.
My Standards (The Curation)
Now, I'm a designer, so I'm picky. I've spent a ton of time going through my suppliers' catalogs to handpick what I believe are the best quality and most sustainable options they offer. I personally order and test samples to make sure they're comfortable, the print is solid, and that they meet what I'd call 'The Bitcoin Standard' for quality. If I wouldn't wear it myself, it's not in the shop.
An Honest Admission
Am I a perfect, 100% sustainable brand? No. There are amazing people in this space who can put way more "skin in the game" than I can right now. This is my level, and I'm doing the best I can with the tools available to a small, independent project. I'm always learning and looking for better options. I hope that's enough for you to appreciate the effort.
The Good Stuff (A Few Specifics)
Fabrics: You'll find a lot of 100% organic cotton (the women's range is already launched, men's is in the pipeline), plus some great eco-friendly recycled polyester.
Packaging: Your order comes in a mailer made from post-consumer recycled plastic.
Returns: Any damaged or returned items are donated to local charities here, not thrown in a landfill.
Ultimately, I'm just trying my best to bring some cool designs and real value to the Bitcoin community. If you have any questions at all about my suppliers, the materials, or how this shop ticks, please just email me: hello@thebitcoindiaries.com. I'll give you the whole, honest rundown.
